Q1000: I can't create project or add attachment (FTP is not working)
A: You might need to setup FTP folder security
Q1001: When login to QPack I get "Open/save" message. When I click "Open, the application opens.
A: In order to resolve this popup window, you need to enter registry to the following entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_MIME_HANDLING
Change the value of iexplorer from 1 to 0.
Q1002: I cant open QPack application - open/save window pops
A: Few resolutions:
0. QPack.htm: try to connect to http://myServer/QPack/QPack.htm and open login.vbd
1. Trusted sites: Add server to trusted sites
2. Clean VBD: Clean all entries in registry with value ".vbd"
3. Clear temp files: Open browser. Goto tools->internet options. Click on button "Delete files". Mark the option "Delete all offline content". Press OK.
4. Remove all conflict folders from c:\windows\downloaded program files (c:\winnt\downloaded program files in windows 2000).
5. Registry: Clear the registry from all places where there is QPack.dll.
6. Setup files: The setup files are corrupted.
7. User previliages - Make sure the login user on the OS is administrator of the machine the install is takeing place.
8. Missing Office DLL: The system32 folder is missing the fm20.dll.
Q1003: I cant open QPack application - Save cancel window pops
A: Permissions problem: Check if user on the workstation has enough permissions (should be administrator).
Q1004: When I download QPack activeX I get unknown publisher
A: You need to add the QPack server url to the trusted sites and have administrator permissions.
Q1005: I cant open QPack application - the save window opens
If user is admin on machine, and trusted sites is set and no .vbd entry exist on registry, then there could be another case.
User must have installed microsoft utility called "drop my rights". this prevent from IE o right to protected areas. In order to know if this utility is installed, do the followings:
- right click on IE->properties
if the target contains "drop my rights" then it need to be removed
Q1006: The browser notify on non certified publisher and prevent from installation
A: The user did not set the trusted site correctly.
Q1007: Unable to restart IIS service
A: The user is getting unexpected error when the IIS port 80 is capture by another application. Run Fport.exe application in the PC and view which software is capturing the IIS service.
Q1008: Unable to install IIS service
The OS system database may be curopted. Needs to run the recovery command from the command prompt:
esentutl /p %windir%\security\database\secedit.sdb
